About A.B.C. Groff, Inc.

 Over the years the farm equipment world has had a lot of change. With the age of computer control, it can become a nightmare. The older equipment's mechanical function and simplicity make them great for small farmers and backup machines for larger operations. While new equipment is nice there is a market for quality used equipment. In order to keep these units from ending up in the fence row or scrap yard. This site was created to supply quality Deere and New Holland aftermarket parts.  

In 1890 Abraham Brubaker Groff started selling fertilizers and  farm equipment to neighbors and friends. He used a barn as a warehouse. The original building was constructed in 1893.  A new building was then constructed at the present Ag Industrial location in 1902 with additions made in 1928 and 1950. During the early years the business was known as "A.B. Groff," after its founder.

The company contracted with New Holland Grassland Machinery in 1903 and with John Deere Tractors in 1915. A.B.C. Groff was the oldest New Holland dealer in the area.

When the founder's son, Charles, took over the business, a "C" was added to the company name changing it to A.B.C. Groff as it continues to be known today. A corporation was formed in 1963.  Charles Groff continued to operate the  business until 1967 when the family sold the business.

The  business grew to represents a number of short lines that compliment the major line of equipment of John Deere and New Holland North America (CNH). Kioti, Kuhn, Hardi, Yanmar, Bush Hog, Bradco, Ramrod, Quicke and Earth & Turf were a few of the smaller lines of equipment.

In  2009 A.B.C. Groff, Inc. was approached by CNH that there was an interested party in buying us out. Ag Industrial, Inc. a New Holland dealer along with Wengers of Myerstown, a well-known used farm equipment and parts dealer added a 3rd location with the purchase of the assets of A.B.C. Groff, Inc. in mid 2010.

A.B.C. Groff, Inc. has a long history in serving the Agricultural and  Construction community with quality parts, service, and equipment. This is still true today as the focus of our business is now devoting a service of manufacturing and distributing quality aftermarket parts for the equipment brands sold in the past.
